Sporting California USA is excited to announce our partnership with the Inland Empire Redlands chapter of the Pateadores SC. The new relationship will expand the Sporting California USA platform into 8 key areas throughout Southern California and will allow players from both clubs the opportunity to compete at every level of the youth game without the player having to travel out of their geographical areas. The newest member of the Sporting organization will be called

“Sporting California Redlands” and will operate out of Redlands, California.

This strategic alliance is to provide more opportunities for both the players and the club which will blossom from a network of people who are dedicated to supporting one another in a culture of inspiration, dedication, belief, and determination.

“Sporting California USA is blessed to have some very familiar and talented faces back with our club. Getting to work side by side in the leadership of Sporting California USA with both alumni and then coaching peers from the past is always a special opportunity that one needs to take advantage of. One of the most exciting parts is that we can offer players the opportunity to compete at all stages of the game without having to leave their own back yards.”  - (PJ Brown SCU Club Director)

“After 17 years, I am finally back to the Club that molded me and opened a pathway for me to play at the highest level, the Mexican Woman’s Soccer National Team. I am forever grateful for that opportunity. Now, I have the great honor to be a part of this great Club again but this time, to lead young players to excel further in the sport of soccer and help mold their minds and bodies to be the best that they can be in order to be highly competitive in this field. It is time to give back to others what my coaches did for me 17 years ago. I am very excited and thrilled to see what the future holds for our young athletes at the Sporting California USA Redlands Chapter.”

- (Norma Mendez SCU Redlands Director)

“I am delighted to welcome Norma Mendez and the Sporting California Redlands chapter to our club. I have known Norma for over ten years and have complete faith in her leadership ability. She is a great addition to our Sporting California USA family. Currently we have over 25 girls in our Sporting ECNL/ECRL program from the city of Redlands and this alliance will open the pathway for many more in the years ahead. I spent many years working in Redlands and it makes me genuinely happy to have them as part of our organization."

 - (David Baillie SCU Girls ECNL and ECRL Director)

“Norma has taken the Redlands area and used her leadership skills to keep everyone focused on improving. She has done a wonderful job using her knowledge of the area to succeed at both the club and high school levels over the past decade. Becoming part of Sporting California USA (formerly Arsenal FC) is one that will continue to grow the area and allow for further player opportunities that are closer to home. This decision allows players to stay in the Inland Empire as they develop and progress to the highest level. I wish all the Redlands families the very best for the future.”

- (Martin Maguire past SCU/ Arsenal FC Girls ECNL and ECRL Director)

"I’m excited, honored, and delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside such a

talented coach as Norma. She has a tremendous record of developing great talent, and

she shares the same philosophies that Sporting California is founded on. With this

great staff, like minded thinking, and platforms that are provided for the coaches,

players, and families; this partnership will again move the organization forward in our

mission. Welcome to the Sporting California Family Redlands!!"

- (Jim Nordberg SCU Boys ECNL and ECRL Director)
